Ruth K. Gordon, nee Kahn, 95, beloved wife of the late Macey; loving mother of Maralee (Leo Schlosberg) Gordon, Aaron (Donna Blake), Richard (Sandra Gwin), and Dori (Doug) Walker; cherished grandmother of Ari (Nicole) Gesher, Jacob (Michal) Gesher, Ben (Rachel) Coppel, Joshua Gordon-Blake, Jesse Gordon-Blake, Zachary (Mara) Gordon, Sarah Hinton, Max Walker, Molly Walker, Joseph Walker; adored great- grandmother of Binyamin, Avigayil, Chananya, Amiel, Noam, Elisheva, Macie, Charlie, David, Noah and Emma. Chapel service Thursday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Entombment Shalom Memorial Park. Marilee, I am so sorry to hear of the death of your mother. She sounds like a remarkable woman. What a blessing to have had this very good woman for so many years.

I remember Ruth from the years in the 2980’s when I was Maralee and Leo’s across the hall neighbor in the Albion building. What a lovely person! So dedicated to family and to the Jewish people! A wonderful grandmother and a mother to all. I know these years have been hard –may we all remember her now as she was in full flower and as a blessing to us all.
